The Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy sponsors a biennial World Congress. The most recent, the 24th World Congress, was held in Dallas, Texas in June, 2019 with participants coming from 37 nations speaking 11 languages. Viktor Frankl (1905-1997) was Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University of Vienna. A scientist and clinician, Viktor Frankl wrote Man’s Search for Meaning and many other books.  The latest of his books, “Yes to Life” recently translated from German, is a compilation of lectures he gave in 1946 shortly after being released from the Nazi prison camps. Frankl’s theory, known as Logotherapy, is intended to help individuals to find meaning in life regardless of circumstances. Because of its positive approach, Logotherapy is often referred to as the “medicine chest” for life.
